Founder of Paulo David Arquitectos, in Funchal, he was project consultant for the Historical Centre Proposals in Funchal’s City Hall from 1995 to 2002.Paulo David was honoredwith the attribution of career prizes, as the Alvar Aalto Medal in 2012 and the AICA award in2007; to mention also the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture in 2017.He was invited Professor in several Universities, with special relevance at École d’Architecture de Nancy; Università di Sassari in Alghero;Universidad Nebrija in Madrid; Escola de Arquitectura of Universidade Católica in Santiago, Chile; Escola da Cidade, São Paolo, Brazil; Cornell University College of Architecture, Art and Planning, Ithaca, New York, USA.He is Visiting Professor in Scuola di Architettura, Polo di Mantova, PoliMi, since 2016 and in Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa, since 2019.His work has been featured in several exhibitions in national and international ranges with emphasis on the 15th Venice Architectural Biennale, 2016, with the exhibition Inverted Ruins.
